Owner of the business Mr. J. M. Ngwenya, had done a survey and found that with the current economic climate, the demand for genuine used motor vehicles spares were in demand.
Mr. Ngwenya contacted the insurance companies with the intention to purchased the written off vehicles,he negotiated for a large property on the main intersection of Vosloorus, entered into a lease agreement and purchased his first batch of vehicles.

The business has fully equipped towing vehicles as well as three rollbacks, forklift and a business vehicles for collection and delivery of spare and state of the art security camera system and security company, a stock control computer system as well as a full record of vehicles and spares bought and sold, tight control has to be the focus in this field of business, due to motor vehicle theft and registration. Years later he has a registered Choc’s Auto Salvage Centre, a very successful business, a good relationship with the towing companies, insurance bond yards,all the licences and documentation in place, is registered with SARS, has BEE Accreditation and has shown enormous growth.
He has also been able to create employment for twenty four permanent and nine casual staff members.
After an in depth research in early 2017 and the looming recession, it was decided to sell the Brakpan Branch and move Spruitview and Vosloorus under one roof at the Vosloorus property, this offering the clients a far larger variety of stock under one roof, cutting the overhead expenses which in turn prevented staff loses and retrenchments. This proved to be a wise move as Vosloorus now offers all makes under one roof.

With this in mind and the success of the business, Mr. Ngwenya has identified certain areas in the business that would improve the growth of the Company as well the creation of numerous jobs and uplift the community in Vosloorus and surrounding areas and in September 2012 Chocs Auto Salvage 2 Centre opened to the public in Spruitview, specializing in genuine used motor spares for Renault, BMW, Mercedes Benz as well as the sale of accident damaged vehicles
In May 2013, Choc 3 was opened in Brakpan, stripping Renault, Peugeot, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Chrysler and Tata.
